Produced and directed Irene Ziegler. "The Best of Virginia Arts & Letters LIVE, Volume 1" features six of the best stories, performances and music from 2004 to 2007, just as they were recorded live at the Barksdale or Empire Theatre.
Who could forget Pat Carrol reading "Docent" by R.T. Smith? Or Scott Wichmann performing "Strays," by Mark Richard? Clay McLeod Chapman is featured, or course, as well as Jennifer Massey, Erin Thomas, Larry Cook, Dan Ruth, and Justin Dray reading stories by Kimberly Elkins,
Richard Bausch, and Gregory Bottoms.
Musicians include One Ring Zero, The Glass Brothers, Kelly Kennedy, Mark Rhodes, and The Dogtown Trio.
