Bifocals Monthly Meeting Series 2008 - 2009


MEETINGS: Barksdale’s Bifocals Theatre Project is designed for theatre enthusiasts age 55 and older.  Bifocals meetings are free-of-charge and open to the public and are held monthly in the lobby of Barksdale Theatre at Willow Lawn. 

LUNCH: Each meeting is followed by a lunch buffet of sliced turkey, ham, roast beef, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, breads, salads, sweets, coffee, tea and sodas.  A free-will offering of $4 for lunch is suggested.

Barksdale’s Bifocals Theatre Project presents fun and entertaining theatrical offerings designed specifically for senior audiences.

We hope that you will consider either bringing your residents to Barksdale next season, where they can enjoy lunch and the performance for just $10 with lunch / $5 for show only. Tickets can be purchased either in advance or at the door (reservations preferred). A festive gathering for lunch occurs before each performance at 12:30 pm. (reservations required so that lunch can be ordered).

Barksdale's Bifocals Theatre Project for Seniors offers performances starring actors aged 55 and older. All ages are welcome to attend performances.

To join Barksdale’s Bifocals Theatre Project, senior theatre enthusiasts must register their email and/or street mail address with Brad Tuggle.  There is no charge or membership fee associated with joining Barksdale’s Bifocals Theatre Project.

Once a senior age 65 and older has signed up, he or she can purchase one or two Bifocals Bargain tickets for $19 each, which we offer for many of our shows. We offered Bifocals Bargains to Greater Tuna. Check back soon for our next savings opportunity.

Bifocals Bargain Tickets can be purchased or reserved on an “as available” basis.  Seniors must pick up their Bifocals Bargain Tickets themselves and be prepared to show some form of identification.  All seniors age 65 and up who want to purchase Bifocals Bargain Tickets are advised to do so at their earliest convenience.  These discounted tickets sell out early.  Reservations can be made over the phone with a VISA or MasterCard, or purchased at the Barksdale Box Office with check, cash or credit card.  The Barksdale Box Office phone number is 804 282-2620.
