From Points North
Take Interstate 95 South to 64 West toward Charlottesville. Take the Staples Mill exit. The exit will split in two. Keep left. Coming off the exit you will be on Staples Mill Rd. Keep straight through three lights, the fourth light will be Broad St. Take a right. The Shops at Willow Lawn will be almost immediately on your left. Turn left into the parking lot. Barksdale Theatre is located between Ross Dress for Less and Staples.
From Points West
Take Interstate 64 East to the second Staples Mill exit. Coming off the exit you will be on Staples Mill Rd. Keep straight through three lights, the fourth light will be Broad St. Take a right. The Shops at Willow Lawn will be almost immediately on your left. Turn left into the parking lot. Barksdale Theatre is located between Ross Dress for Less and Staples.
From Points East

Take Powhite PKWY/VA 76 – Toll - North to I-195 North.Take the Grove Avenue/Patterson Avenue exit. Coming off the exit you will be on Thompson St. Take a left onto Kensington Ave. Almost immediately bear left onto Patterson Ave. Drive for 1.6 miles, then take a right onto Willow Lawn Drive. Keep straight through one light; the second light will be Broad St. Take a right. The Shops at Willow Lawn will be on your right. Turn right into the parking lot. Barksdale Theatre is located between Ross Dress for Less and Staples.

Traveling northbound on I-95, take exit 82 "Chamberlayne Avenue." Turn left off the exit ramp onto Rt. 301 North. Travel approximately 14 miles north on Rt. 301, crossing Atlee Station Road and Shady Grove. Rt. 301 will become Hanover Courthouse Road. The Tavern is located on the left across from Hanover Courthouse at 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road.
From The East
Take I-295 North to the Rt. 301 exit (Exit 41 A) towards Hanover. Travel approximately 10 miles north on Rt. 301, crossing Atlee Station Road and Shady Grove. Rt. 301 will become Hanover Courthouse Road. The Tavern is located on the left across from Hanover Courthouse at 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road.
From The West
Take 64 East to I-95 North (via Exit 187 on the left toward Washington).
Traveling northbound on I-95, take exit 82 "Chamberlayne Avenue."
Turn left off the exit ramp onto Rt. 301 North. Travel approximately
14 miles north on Rt. 301, crossing Atlee Station Road and Shady Grove.
Rt. 301 will become Hanover Courthouse Road. The Tavern is located on
the left across from Hanover Courthouse at 13181 Hanover Courthouse

From The North
Take Chamberlayne Avenue / US-301 N. Continue to follow US-301 North. Rt 301 will become Hanover Courthouse Rd. The Tavern is located across from Hanover Courthouse at 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road.
From the South

The Hanover Tavern is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp to both the restaurant and the theatre itself. There is handicapped parking in the free parking lot, and there are signs that will direct you to the ramp (which is around the side of the building). From points North
Take Interstate 95 South to exit 76 B (Belvidere Street). At the end of the ramp turn left at the stop light onto Leigh Street. At the second light turn right onto Adams Street. At the third light turn right onto Broad Street. The Empire Theatre is on the right.
From points West
Take Interstate 64 East. After passing by the Staples Mills exit, stay in the center two lanes of the highway. Follow signs for 64 East/95 South to Norfolk/Petersburg. Take exit 76 B (Belvidere Street). At the end of the ramp turn left at the stop light onto Leigh Street. At the second light turn right onto Adams Street. At the third light turn right onto Broad Street. The Empire Theatre is on the right.
From points East
Take Interstate 64 West to exit 190 (5th Street/Downtown/Coliseum). The off ramp will put you onto 5th Street. Pass the Coliseum on your left, and cross Marshall Street. At the next light turn right onto Broad Street. The Empire Theatre is 6 blocks up on the right.
From points South
Take Interstate 95 North to exit 76 A (Chamberlayne Avenue). At the end of the ramp turn left at the light onto Chamberlayne which becomes Adams. At the third light, turn right onto Broad Street. The Empire Theatre is on the right.
From Southside, Midlothian
Take the Powhite Parkway North. Follow the right lanes to the Downtown Expressway, 195 East. Take the exit for 7th/9th Street. From the off ramp, bear left toward 7th Street. At the sixth light, turn left onto Broad Street. The Empire Theatre is nine blocks on the right.

Parking at the Empire
Valet parking is only $7. Valet parking is available one hour prior to performance and remains open until 20 minutes after the performance. We accept cash or credit (Mastercard / Visa). Simply pull up to the front of the theatre, and leave the rest to us.
Self Parking
Parking is available in the lot on Grace Street between 1st & Foushee there is a $3 honor box lot (approx 2 blocks from theatre)
Parking is available in the lot on Grace Street between Adams & Jefferson there is a $5 honor box lot (approx 1 block from theatre)
On-street parking is also available in the vicinity of the theatre. Please note that Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, the on-street parking is for two hours only. Please also be aware of "Loading Zone" and "Bus Stop" signage.
