Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre seek an experienced professional to join the senior management team of two established, highly acclaimed professional theatres. Viewed collectively as Central Virginia’s leading professional nonprofit theatre, Barksdale/Theatre IV operates under a combined annual budget of $5.2 million. The selected candidate will be an experienced individual who will be responsible for attaining ticket sale goals annually of $2 million while maintaining all media relations.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate as a member of the senior staff leadership
- Actively collaborate with and carry out the artistic vision of the combined companies as guided by the Artistic Director.
- Securing ticket sales to four Theatre IV Family productions
- Securing ticket sales to eleven Barksdale productions
- Managing Subscription campaigns for both companies
- Maintaining all media relationships
- Overseeing and helping to create all graphics, ads and print materials
- Integrating institutional messaging in collaboration with Development activities
- Supervise a team of four Marketing team members who assist with web management, graphics, advertising, playbills, group sales appeals and Tessitura, a leading box office and donor relations software that is used by the theatre
- Oversee and assist with materials developed for touring operations
The successful candidate will have a Marketing degree and a minimum of 8 years of Marketing and/or related experience and understand working in the nonprofit professional theatre. Salary will be commensurate with experience and nonprofit professional theatre.
